Wantedrobe began with a pair of black vinyl trousers.
They were my favourite pair — bought years ago from New Look and worn so often that replacing them eventually became inevitable. By the time I began looking for another pair, they had long since sold out.
I searched every resale marketplace I could find, refreshing listings, setting alerts and hoping that someone, somewhere, would eventually list them.
Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. I kept repeating the same search, checking the same marketplaces over and over again, hoping that one day the trousers would finally appear.
I was no longer simply searching for fashion. I was spending countless hours waiting for luck.
Why isn't there a place where I can simply post what I'm looking for, instead of endlessly searching for it?
That question stayed with me long after I found myself scrolling through marketplace after marketplace.
What began as one missing pair of trousers in 2019 eventually became Wantedrobe, launching in 2026.
The Idea
A frustrating search for one sold-out fashion item inspired a different way to shop.
The Launch
Wantedrobe launched as a marketplace where shoppers post what they want and let fashion find them.
Today, that simple question has become Wantedrobe — a reverse fashion marketplace where shoppers can post the pieces they are looking for, and sellers and Fashion Sourcers can help find them.
Because sometimes the best way to find fashion is to let fashion find you.
